POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Registered Nurse New Graduate.
REMUNERATION: Based on experience (Above ward).
Locations: Gold Coast, QLD.
AHP are now offering new registered nurse graduates an opportunity to kick start their career with our new mentor program!
YOUR ROLE:
As a casual or permanent RN, you will be on buddy shifts with your senior RN mentor, train with our head of nursing and complete appropriate/allocated modules. After passing your graduate mentor program your role will include the following; no buddy shifts – you will be required to support and lead other aged care staff during your shift, managing and assessing resident care and maintain optimal care standards. There are also opportunities to be rostered as RN in charge – earn more experience and additional wage.
You may be required to go to multiple facilities across the Gold Coast region; we endeavour to keep you one facility, however this is not always possible.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS (RN):
- General AHPRA registration – Division 1
- Bachelor of Nursing Degree.
- Current NDIS check.
- Current 2022 Influenza Vaccine.
- COVID-19 vaccine & booster.
- Either x6 months of aged care experience as an AIN OR EN, or completed aged care placement during your Bachelor of Nursing degree.
- Full working rights in Australia.
- Must be currently based on the Gold Coast.
- Must be able to complete a minimum of x3 shifts per week as a casual or x38 hours per week as a full timer.
- Must be willing to travel to multiple facilities if required (45 mins max).
